R-phycoerythrin (PE)-Cy5.5 tandem conjugate allows simultaneous multicolor labeling and detection of multiple targets using a single excitation source (488 nm argon-ion laser).


Target Information

CD14 is a 55 kDa GPI-anchored glycoprotein expressed on mature monocytes, macrophages, and neutrophils. It functions as a multifunctional lipopolysaccharide receptor and exists in both membrane-bound and soluble forms. CD14 interacts with lipopolysaccharide-binding protein (LBP) and plays a role in immune response modulation, apoptosis recognition, and inflammatory processes. Alternative splicing generates multiple transcript variants encoding the same isoform. CD14 dysfunction is associated with conditions such as Mycobacterium chelonae infection and croup.
