Product Specific Information

The monoclonal antibody SolA15 recognizes mouse and rat Ki-67, a 300 kDa nuclear protein present during all active phases of the cell cycle (G1, S, G2, and mitosis), but absent in resting cells (G0). Ki-67 redistributes from the nucleus to chromosomes during mitosis and is widely used as a proliferation marker to assess cell growth fraction.

SolA15 also recognizes human, non-human primate, and canine Ki-67.

Applications Reported: Intracellular staining followed by flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested: Validated using stimulated mouse splenocytes with the Foxp3/Transcription Factor Staining Buffer Set (Product #00-5523-00). Recommended ≤0.5 µg/test (100 µL final volume). Optimal antibody titration advised.

Light Sensitivity: Protect vial and stained samples from light.
Fixation: Samples can be stored up to 3 days at 4°C in the dark using IC Fixation Buffer (Product #00-8222-49) or 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (Product #00-5333-57). Clone-specific performance should be verified empirically.

Target Information

Ki-67 is a nuclear protein expressed during late G1, S, G2, and M phases of the cell cycle. It associates with euchromatin and heterochromatin structures and is absent in G0 cells. Ki-67 antibodies are used to determine the proliferative fraction of cells in tumors, correlating with tumor grade and prognosis. Commonly used as a neuronal and neoplastic proliferation marker.
