Target Information
Themis is a cytoplasmic protein essential for positive selection and development of single-positive thymocytes.
Highest expression is found in CD4+CD8+ double-positive thymocytes, with lower levels in mature T cells.
Themis associates with PLCγ1 and LAT, and is rapidly phosphorylated by SLP-76 following TCR signaling.
There are five isoforms of mouse Themis produced via alternative splicing.
