Target Information
Enolase 1 is a multifunctional enzyme involved in glycolysis, growth control, hypoxia tolerance, and allergic responses. It also acts as a receptor and activator of plasminogen on the cell surface of various cell types such as leukocytes and neurons, and may function as a tumor suppressor.
Enolase 2 exhibits neurotrophic and neuroprotective properties in CNS neurons, promoting cell survival in a calcium-dependent manner.
Enolase 3 is associated with striated muscle development and regeneration.
