Target Information
PAI-2 (SERPINB2)는 주로 각질형성세포, 활성화된 단핵구, 태반 영양막세포에서 발현되는 억제성 세르핀입니다. 47 kDa 비당화형 단백질로 존재하며, 60 kDa 당화형으로 분비될 수 있습니다. 두 형태 모두 urokinase-type plasminogen activator (uPA)의 억제에 효과적입니다.
PAI-2는 생리적 조건에서 자발적이고 가역적인 휴면 폴리머를 형성할 수 있으며, 이는 세포 내 억제제의 조절된 방출에 중요할 수 있습니다. 혈장 내 PAI-2 수준은 일반적으로 낮지만, 임신 중 및 일부 단핵구성 백혈병에서 증가합니다.
임신 3기 동안 태반에서 PAI-2 분비가 증가하며, 출산 후 급격히 감소합니다. 또한 PAI-2는 uPA 의존적 세포 확산을 억제하여 암 전이 방지에 기여하고, 각질형성세포 증식 억제 및 바이러스 감염 시 선천 면역 반응에도 관여합니다.
