Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
Nuclear lamins form an intermediate filament network at the nucleoplasmic side of the nuclear membrane.
Two subtypes are distinguished: A-type lamins (lamin A, lamin C, lamin Adel 10) and B-type lamins (lamin B1, lamin B2).
Mutations in A-type lamins are linked to several genetic disorders, including:
- Emery-Dreifuss muscular dystrophy
- Dilated cardiomyopathy with conduction-system disease
- Dunnigan-type familial partial lipodystrophy
A-type lamins are associated with cell differentiation and chromatin interaction, suggesting a role in differential gene expression regulation.
