For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

CD63 (LAMP-3, lysosome-associated membrane protein-3) is a glycoprotein of the tetraspanin family found in late endosomes, lysosomes, and secretory vesicles. It is also present on the plasma membrane following cell activation and is widely used as a basophil activation marker.
CD63 interacts with integrins, influences phagocytosis and cell migration, and is involved in H/K-ATPase trafficking and ROMK1 channel regulation. It functions as a T-cell co-stimulation molecule and its expression can be a prognostic marker in early-stage carcinomas.
CD63 is expressed on activated platelets, monocytes, and macrophages, and weakly expressed on granulocytes, B, and T cells. It is identical to melanoma-associated antigen ME491 and platelet antigen PTLGP40.
Diseases associated with CD63 dysfunction include melanoma and Hermansky-Pudlak Syndrome.
