Product Specific Information

Description:
The 11-26c monoclonal antibody reacts with the delta heavy chain of mouse IgD. It does not react with other classes of mouse immunoglobulin, including IgA, IgG, or IgM. IgD is expressed by peripheral mature B cells, and 11-26c does not activate B cells.

Applications Reported:
This antibody has been reported for use in flow cytometric analysis.

Applications Tested:
Tested by flow cytometric analysis of mouse splenocytes. Recommended usage ≤ 0.5 µg per test (100 µL final volume). Optimal concentration should be titrated depending on cell number (10⁵–10⁸ cells/test).

Fluorochrome Information:
Super Bright 436 can be excited with the violet laser line (405 nm) and emits at 436 nm. Recommended detection filter: 450/50 bandpass or equivalent. Ensure the instrument supports this fluorochrome.

Staining Buffer Recommendation:
When using multiple Super Bright dye-conjugated antibodies, use Super Bright Complete Staining Buffer (Product # SB-4401) to minimize non-specific polymer interactions.

Target Information

IgD is a type I transmembrane protein co-expressed with membrane IgM on mature naive B cells and also exists in soluble form in serum. It associates with the B cell receptor and participates in signal transduction upon antigen binding.
