Target Information
Aldolase는 class I fructose-bisphosphate aldolase 단백질 패밀리에 속하는 효소를 암호화하는 유전자로, fructose-1,6-bisphosphate를 glyceraldehyde 3-phosphate와 dihydroxyacetone phosphate로 가역적으로 전환시키는 해당과정 효소입니다.
A, B, C 세 가지 isozyme이 존재하며, 각각 다른 유전자에 의해 발현됩니다.
이 유전자의 돌연변이는 용혈성 빈혈을 동반하는 Glycogen Storage Disease XII와 관련이 있으며, 다양한 암의 진행에도 관여합니다.
