Target Information

THAP6 (THAP domain-containing protein 6) is a 222 amino acid protein containing one THAP-type zinc finger and exists as two alternatively spliced isoforms.
The THAP6 gene spans approximately 36,528 bases and maps to human chromosome 4q21.1.
Chromosome 4 represents about 6% of the human genome and contains nearly 900 genes, including the Huntingtin gene (linked to Huntington’s disease) and FGFR-3 (associated with dwarfism syndromes and bladder cancer).
Other disorders related to chromosome 4 include Ellis-van Creveld syndrome, methylmalonic acidemia, and polycystic kidney disease.
