The allophycocyanin (APC)-Alexa Fluor™ 750 dye tandem conjugate enables multicolor measurements using excitation by lasers emitting from 633 to 650 nm.
Target Information
The CD3 subunit complex is essential for transducing antigen-recognition signals into T cells and regulating surface expression of the TCR complex.
T cell activation involves CD3 gamma, delta, epsilon, and zeta subunits, which are structurally related members of the immunoglobulin superfamily encoded on human chromosome 11.
CD3 subunits have long cytoplasmic tails that associate with signal transduction molecules through tyrosine-based motifs.
CD3 is expressed on 68–82% of normal peripheral blood lymphocytes, 65–85% of thymocytes, and Purkinje cells in the cerebellum, but not on B or NK cells.
Decreased T lymphocytes may be observed in autoimmune diseases. Defects in the CD3 gene are associated with CD3 immunodeficiency.
