Reconstitution:

• Reconstitute with 25 µL, 50 µL, or 0.2 mL of double distilled water (DDW), depending on sample size.
• Ships as lyophilized powder at room temperature.
• Upon arrival, store at -20°C.
• Reconstituted solution can be stored at 4°C for up to 1 week.
• For longer storage, aliquot and keep at -20°C.
• Avoid multiple freeze/thaw cycles.
• Centrifuge all antibody preparations before use (10,000 × g, 5 min).

Target Information

TREK-1 (KCNK2) is a two-pore-domain background potassium channel expressed throughout the central nervous system. It is activated by polyunsaturated fatty acids and lysophospholipids and regulated by various neurotransmitters. Alterations in TREK-1 function or regulation may affect mood. TREK-1 is also activated by volatile anesthetics and may serve as a potential target for new therapeutic agents in anesthesiology and neurology, including antidepressants.
