Target Information
The G-protein-coupled receptor (GPCR) superfamily includes an estimated 600–1,000 members and represents the largest known class of molecular targets with therapeutic value.
G protein-coupled receptor 39 (GPR39) is an orphan receptor in the Ghrelin family pathway. Studies indicate that GPR39 plays roles in hypertension, adipogenesis, and its overexpression is associated with malignant development of human esophageal squamous cell carcinoma.
