Product Specific Information
Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems by cloning antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.

Target Information
MST1R (RON) is a receptor tyrosine kinase involved in cell proliferation and motility. It forms a membrane-spanning, disulfide-linked heterodimer derived from cleavage of a glycosylated precursor into 35-kD (alpha) and 150-kD (beta) subunits. Ligand binding induces tyrosine phosphorylation of the beta chain.
Knockout studies show MST1R/RON (-/-) mice fail to survive past the periimplantation period. The MST1R/RON gene maps to 3p21, frequently deleted or mutated in small cell lung and renal carcinoma, and is implicated in epithelial cancer progression. Expression has been documented in many normal human tissues, with ESTs found in normal and cancerous colon, prostate, stomach, and uterus tissues.
