This antibody is a monoclonal mixture of FITC-conjugated CD4 (clone 7E14, isotype IgG1) and PE-conjugated CD26 (clone EUG-6, isotype IgG2a).

Target Information

The CD4 antigen is involved in the recognition of the type II MHC antigen and serves as a receptor for HIV. It is expressed on most T helper cells and normal thymocytes. The cytoplasmic portion of CD4 associates with p56lck tyrosine kinase. CD4 expression is commonly found in human lymph nodes and tonsils.

CD26 (also known as dipeptidyl peptidase IV, DPP IV, or ADA binding protein) is an atypical serine protease belonging to the prolyl oligopeptidase family. It is expressed on lymphocyte cells and upregulated during T-cell activation, also found on activated B cells, natural killer cells, and epithelial tissues. CD26 participates in T-cell activation, cell adhesion with extracellular matrix components such as fibronectin or collagen, and in HIV infection. Cross-linking of CD26 using this antibody enhances anti-CD3-induced IL-2 production.
