CRIM1 (cysteine-rich motor neuron 1)은 당화된 Type I 막관통 단백질로, 혈관 신생 과정에서 모세혈관 형성과 유지에 관여합니다. N-말단에 IGF-binding protein-like motif와 6개의 von Willebrand-like cysteine-rich repeats(CRRs)를 포함합니다. CRIM1은 BMP4 및 BMP7과 상호작용하여 길항 작용을 하며, 췌장, 신장, 태반, 뇌 및 혈관 등 다양한 조직에서 발현됩니다. 또한 신경세포 분화 및 생존에 관련된 성장인자와의 상호작용을 통해 중추신경계 및 태반 발달에 기여할 수 있습니다.
