Target Information

FGFR3 (Fibroblast Growth Factor Receptor 3) is a receptor tyrosine kinase belonging to the FGFR family. These receptors regulate cellular functions such as angiogenesis, mitogenesis, osteogenesis, myogenesis, carcinogenesis, differentiation, and tissue repair. FGFR family members differ in ligand affinities and tissue distribution. FGFR3 interacts with fibroblast growth factors to trigger downstream signaling, influencing mitogenesis and differentiation. It plays a crucial role in bone development and maintenance. Mutations in FGFR3 are associated with craniosynostosis and various skeletal dysplasias. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants produce different isoforms.
