Product Specific Information
The eBioCB16 monoclonal antibody recognizes human CD16 (Fc gammaRIII), a low-affinity receptor for IgG with an apparent molecular weight of 50–80 kDa.
CD16 exists as two forms:
- CD16A (FcγRIIIA): Found in macrophages and NK cells (transmembrane form)
- CD16B (FcγRIIIB): Found in neutrophils (GPI-anchored form)
Two polymorphisms of CD16B (NA-1 and NA-2) are known, with NA-2 homozygotes showing lower phagocytic capacity. CD16 binds IgG immune complexes, preferentially IgG1 and IgG3, and triggers signaling cascades leading to ADCC, phagocytosis, degranulation, and proliferation.

- Recommended Use: 5 µL (0.06 µg) per test (100 µL final volume, 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test)

Target Information
CD16 (encoded by FCGR3A) recognizes the Fc portion of IgG and mediates clearance of immune complexes, ADCC, and enhancement of viral infection.
