This antibody detects endogenous levels of total MST-1/STK4.
Target Information
STK4 (MST1) is a serine/threonine kinase involved in apoptosis and the Hippo signaling pathway. It induces chromatin condensation and DNA fragmentation following caspase cleavage. As a key component of the Hippo pathway, STK4 regulates organ size and tumor suppression by controlling cell proliferation and apoptosis. STK4, together with STK3/MST2 and regulatory proteins SAV1 and MOB1, activates LATS1/2 kinases, which inhibit YAP1 and WWTR1/TAZ translocation into the nucleus, thereby modulating genes involved in cell growth and migration. STK4 is essential in repressing hepatocyte proliferation and preventing tumor formation.
