The MA1-7323 antibody reacts with Influenza A virus NP in viral and infected tissue samples.
It has been successfully used in Immunofluorescence and ELISA applications.
The MA1-7323 antibody was raised against Influenza A Nucleoprotein.
Target Information
The nucleoprotein (NP) of Influenza A virus encapsidates the negative strand of viral RNA and is essential for replicative transcription.
It may also be involved in other essential functions throughout the virus life cycle.
NP can self-associate to form large oligomeric complexes and interact with both viral and cellular macromolecules.
It binds the PB1 and PB2 subunits of the polymerase and the matrix protein M1.
NP also interacts with several cellular polypeptide families, including nuclear import receptors (importin class), filamentous (F) actin, nuclear export receptor CRM1, and DEAD box helicase BAT1/UAP56 (Portela et al. 2002).
