This antibody detects endogenous levels of total SCAND1 protein.
Target Information
SCAND1 (SCAN domain containing 1), also known as RAZ1 or SDP1, is a nuclear protein involved in transcription regulation. It is widely expressed, with the highest expression in kidney, thyroid, liver, prostate, and testis.
SCAND1 contains a single SCAN box domain (~60 amino acids, leucine-rich) responsible for protein–protein interactions, but lacks a zinc finger motif unlike most SCAN domain proteins.
It interacts with ZNF38, ZNF191, MZF-1, ZNF202, and PPARγ, suggesting a role in transcriptional regulation of genes related to energy homeostasis and lipid metabolism.
