This antibody detects endogenous levels of total ARL2BP protein.
Target Information
ADP-ribosylation factor (ARF)-like proteins (ARLs) are a distinct subgroup of the ARF family of RAS-related GTPases. The protein encoded by the ARL2BP gene binds to ARL2·GTP with high affinity but does not interact with ARL2·GDP, activated ARF, or RHO proteins. The absence of detectable membrane association upon ARL2 activation suggests a function distinct from that of ARFs. ARL2BP is considered the first ARL2-specific effector identified due to its selective interaction with ARL2·GTP, lacking GTPase-activating activity.
