Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to reach a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (recommended: Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
Gli-2 belongs to the C2H2-type zinc finger protein subclass of the Gli family. Members of this subclass act as transcription factors binding DNA via zinc finger motifs with conserved H-C links.
Gli family proteins mediate Sonic hedgehog (Shh) signaling and function as oncogenes in embryonal carcinoma cells.
The protein localizes to the cytoplasm and activates patched Drosophila homolog (PTCH) gene expression, playing a role in embryogenesis.
Associated phenotypes include Greig cephalopolysyndactyly syndrome, Pallister-Hall syndrome, preaxial polydactyly type IV, and postaxial polydactyly types A1 and B.
