Target Information
이 유전자는 중추신경계에서 광범위하게 발현되는 신경펩타이드를 암호화하며, 피질 흥분성, 스트레스 반응, 음식 섭취, 일주기 리듬 및 심혈관 기능 등 다양한 생리적 과정을 조절합니다.
이 신경펩타이드는 G 단백질 결합 수용체를 통해 작용하여 adenylyl cyclase를 억제하고, MAP kinase를 활성화하며, 세포 내 칼슘 수준을 조절하고 칼륨 채널을 활성화합니다.
신호 펩타이드의 leucine 7이 proline으로 치환되는 다형성은 고콜레스테롤혈증, 높은 알코올 섭취 및 대사·심혈관 질환의 위험 인자와 관련이 있습니다.
