Activin A receptor, type I (ACVR1)는 transforming growth factor-beta (TGF-β) 초가족에 속하는 신호 단백질로, activin type II receptor와 함께 특정 전사 반응을 유도합니다.
ACVR1 유전자는 Activin A type I receptor를 암호화하며, 이 수용체는 activin type II receptor와 협력하여 신호 전달을 매개합니다.
ACVR1의 돌연변이는 근육, 힘줄 및 기타 결합조직 내에서 뼈가 형성되는 희귀 유전 질환인 Fibrodysplasia Ossificans Progressiva (FOP) 및 Epicanthus와 관련이 있습니다.
