Target Information
Thyroid hormone receptors (TRs) are transcription factors regulating hormone-dependent gene expression.
TRIP13 (Thyroid Hormone Receptor Interactor 13), also known as 16E1BP, interacts with the ligand-binding domain of TR and target genes including HPV16 E1.
Unlike most TRIP proteins, TRIP13 interacts with TR independent of thyroid hormone presence.
Its association with HPV16 E1 suggests potential tumor suppressor function.
TRIP13 is a 432 amino acid protein with two isoforms produced by alternative splicing.
