MT-ATP8 (also known as ATP8, ATPASE8, or MTATP8) encodes a 68-amino-acid single-pass membrane protein localized to mitochondria, functioning as a minor subunit of the F0 complex. The gene is located on the mitochondrial chromosome and may be implicated in the pathogenesis of multiple sclerosis.
