This antibody detects endogenous levels of total 5HT1F receptor.
Target Information
5-HT1F is one of several receptors for 5-hydroxytryptamine (serotonin), a biogenic hormone functioning as a neurotransmitter, hormone, and mitogen.
Its activity is mediated by G proteins that inhibit adenylate cyclase activity.
5-HT1F belongs to the GPCR family and is expressed in various brain structures including cortex, hippocampus, trigeminal ganglia, and cerebral blood vessels.
Peripheral expression is limited to uterus, mesentery, and artery, with no expression detected in heart, kidney, liver, pancreas, or spleen.
