• SA1-9588 contains 1 mL of antibody linked to agarose beads (50%) in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide.
• Reacts with heavy and light chains of chicken immunoglobulin.
• Immunogen: immunoglobulin isolated from chicken serum.
• For optimal immunoprecipitation, incubate beads with samples containing IgY antibody-protein complex for at least 10 minutes.
• Binding capacity: approximately 450–500 µg IgY per mL solid beads.

Target Information

Anti-Chicken secondary antibodies are affinity-purified and exhibit well-characterized specificity for chicken immunoglobulins. They are useful for detection, sorting, or purification of target proteins. Secondary antibodies enhance assay versatility and sensitivity through signal amplification, as multiple secondary antibodies can bind to a single primary antibody. These antibodies are typically generated by immunizing the host with pooled immunoglobulins from the target species and further purified or modified (e.g., immunoaffinity chromatography, fragmentation, or label conjugation) to yield highly specific reagents.
