Target Information
IFNA4 (Interferon Alpha 4) and IFNA14 (Interferon Alpha 14) are predicted to enable cytokine activity and type I interferon receptor binding activity, and to be involved in several biological processes including B cell activation, lymphocyte activation involved in immune response, and positive regulation of peptidyl-serine phosphorylation of STAT protein.
IFNA10 (Interferon Alpha 10) encodes a protein belonging to the type I interferon family, located in a cluster of alpha interferon genes on chromosome 9. Interferons are small regulatory molecules functioning in cell signaling in response to viruses, pathogens, or tumor cells. This gene is intronless and encodes a secreted protein.
