This product is preservative-free. It is recommended to add sodium azide (final concentration 0.05%–0.1%) to prevent contamination.

Target Information

TLR3 (Toll-like receptor 3, CD283) is a member of the Toll-like receptor family, playing a critical role in pathogen recognition and activation of innate immunity. TLRs recognize pathogen-associated molecular patterns (PAMPs) and mediate cytokine production necessary for effective immune responses.

TLR3 is abundantly expressed in placenta and pancreas, primarily in dendritic cells. It recognizes viral double-stranded RNA (dsRNA), activating NF-κB and type I interferon pathways. TLR3 signaling utilizes TRIF instead of MyD88, leading to IRF-3 activation and inflammatory cytokine induction.

TLR3 contributes to antiviral defense and has been shown to recognize viruses such as Influenza A and West Nile Virus.
