Product Specific Information
This product is preservative-free. It is recommended to add sodium azide to avoid contamination (final concentration 0.05%–0.1%).
Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The antibody DNA sequences are cloned from immunoreactive rabbits, and individual clones are screened for optimal performance.
Advantages include:
- High specificity and sensitivity
- Lot-to-lot consistency
- Animal origin-free formulation
- Broad immunoreactivity due to the rabbit immune repertoire
This antibody is specific for Mouse TIM4/TIMD4.
Target Information
The T cell immunoglobulin and mucin domain containing protein (TIM) family encodes cell surface receptors involved in regulating Th1 and Th2 cell-mediated immunity.
TIM-4, expressed on macrophages and dendritic cells, is the natural ligand of TIM-1, inducing T-cell expansion and cytokine production.
Unlike other TIM family members, TIM-4 lacks a tyrosine phosphorylation signal in its intracellular domain. The TIM-4 gene is linked to asthma susceptibility in mice and humans and may act as a candidate gene for asthma predisposition.
For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures or resale without authorization.
