Product Specific Information
Immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed): Incubate antibody for 30 minutes at room temperature.
Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA (pH 9.0) for 45 minutes at 95°C, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 minutes.
Target Information
CD162 (PSGL-1) is a 120 kDa homodimer protein expressed on the surface of leukocytes and platelets.
It binds to CD62P (P-selectin), CD62L (L-selectin), and to a lesser extent CD62E (E-selectin).
These interactions are crucial for leukocyte adhesion, rolling, and extravasation.
CD162 is also an important immune marker of T cell exhaustion in chronic viral infections and cancer.
