Product Specific Information

MA5-17933 targets GITR in FACS and IHC applications and shows reactivity with Mouse samples.
The immunogen used is mouse GITR transfectant.

Target Information

Tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily member 18 (TNFRSF18), also known as GITR or AITR, is encoded by the TNFRSF18 gene (mapped to 1p36.33).
This receptor is upregulated upon T-cell activation and plays a key role in immunological self-tolerance mediated by CD25(+)CD4(+) regulatory T cells.
Knockout studies in mice suggest its involvement in CD3-driven T-cell activation and apoptosis regulation.
Three alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been reported.
