MA5-15403 targets MAPK10 in indirect ELISA, IF, and WB applications and shows reactivity with human and mouse samples.
The immunogen is a purified recombinant fragment of human MAPK10 (aa28–233) expressed in E. coli.
MA5-15403 detects MAPK10, which has a predicted molecular weight of approximately 53 kDa.


Target Information

MAPK10 (JNK3) is a neuronal-specific form of c-Jun N-terminal kinases (JNKs). It is involved in neuronal apoptosis and phosphorylates MAP2K4.
MAP kinases act as integration points for multiple biochemical signals and are involved in diverse cellular processes such as proliferation, differentiation, transcription regulation, and development.
Through phosphorylation and nuclear localization, MAPK10 plays a regulatory role in signaling pathways during neuronal apoptosis.
Beta-arrestin 2 interacts with and stimulates phosphorylation of this kinase by MAP kinase kinase 4 (NhpK4). Cyclin-dependent kinase 5 can phosphorylate and inhibit MAPK10 activity, potentially preventing neuronal apoptosis.
Four alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been reported.
