CD108 (Sema7A)는 GPI-anchored semaphorin family의 구성원으로, 중추 및 말초 축삭 성장 촉진과 배아 발생 중 적절한 축삭 경로 형성에 필수적입니다. 또한 골파괴세포 분화 및 전구 골모세포 이동을 조절하며, 면역계에서는 세포 증식, 화학주성, 사이토카인 방출에 영향을 미칩니다. 적혈구에서는 CD108이 JMH (John-Milton-Hagen) 혈액형을 정의합니다. CD108은 plexin C1 및 β1 integrins를 통해 신호를 전달합니다.
