Product Specific Information

FITC conjugates provide relatively high absorptivity, excellent fluorescence quantum yield, and good water solubility, making them suitable for various fluorescence-based assays.


Target Information

CD4 antigen is involved in the recognition of MHC class II molecules and acts as a co-receptor for HIV. It is primarily expressed on T-helper lymphocytes but can also be found on monocytes, macrophages, and dendritic cells.
At the tissue level, CD4 expression is observed in thymus, lymph nodes, tonsils, spleen, and certain regions of the brain and gut.
CD4 contributes to T-cell activation through association with the T-cell receptor complex and protein tyrosine kinase Lck. It may also mediate neuronal damage in immune-related diseases of the CNS.
Multiple alternatively spliced transcripts have been identified (RefSeq, July 2017).
