The Human MCP-1 (CCL2) Simplex ProcartaPlex™ Kit measures MCP-1 (CCL2) protein and is designed to be combinable with other Simplex kits, allowing creation of custom multiplex panels utilizing Luminex xMAP technology for protein detection and quantitation.
When combining multiple Simplex kits (not using a pre-configured Multiplex Panel), only one buffer kit (sold separately) is required per assay plate, regardless of plex size.

About ProcartaPlex Assays for the Luminex Platform

ProcartaPlex immunoassays are based on the sandwich ELISA principle, using two highly specific antibodies binding to different epitopes of a single protein to quantitate multiple targets simultaneously on a Luminex instrument.
These assays require as little as 25 μL of plasma or serum, or 50 μL of cell culture supernatant, and deliver analyzed results within four hours.

ProcartaPlex assays utilize Luminex xMAP (multianalyte profiling) technology for simultaneous detection and quantitation of up to 80 protein targets in a single small-volume sample.
Each bead in the assay is internally dyed with precise proportions of red and infrared fluorophores, creating spectrally unique signatures identifiable by Luminex detection systems (e.g., Luminex 200, FLEXMAP 3D, MAGPIX).
Matched antibody pairs identify target proteins, and detection is achieved via biotinylated antibodies and streptavidin–R-phycoerythrin (RPE).
Unlike traditional ELISA, capture antibodies are bead-conjugated and free-floating, enabling higher multiplexing efficiency and reduced sample consumption.

ProcartaPlex multiplex panels are available in multiple formats across six species (human, mouse, rat, nonhuman primate, porcine, and canine).
