Product Specific Information

MA5-15803 targets AURKA in indirect ELISA, FACS, IF, and WB applications, and shows reactivity with Human, Non-human primate, and Rat samples.
The immunogen is a purified recombinant fragment of human AURKA expressed in E. coli.
MA5-15803 detects AURKA with a predicted molecular weight of approximately 48 kDa.

Target Information

AURKA (Aurora A) is a serine/threonine kinase that regulates mitosis by association with centrosomes. Overexpression of AURKA is observed in many types of cancer. Aurora A plays a role in cell cycle regulation during anaphase and/or telophase, associated with the centrosome/spindle pole region during chromosome segregation.
It is a key factor in tumor development and progression and is overexpressed in cancers such as breast, ovarian, and colorectal.
Tissue specificity: Highly expressed in testis, weakly in skeletal muscle, thymus, and spleen.

For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Not for resale without express authorization.
