For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments using this carrier-free antibody, perform an additional desalting step (Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
The HSP70 family consists of highly conserved proteins induced by various biological stresses, including heat stress.
Human HSP70 family members include:
- HSP70: Strongly inducible and constitutively expressed in primate cells
- HSP72: Induced exclusively under stress conditions
- HSC70 (HSPA8): Constitutively expressed 72 kDa protein involved in clathrin-coated vesicle uncoating
- GRP78 (BiP): 78 kDa ER-localized protein
- HSP75 (p75): 75 kDa mitochondrial protein
HSC70 (also known as HSC71, HSC73, HSP73, p72, prp73) is slightly heat-inducible, binds clathrin light chain loops to promote uncoating, and interacts with the cytoskeleton to facilitate rearrangements. It also stimulates lysosomal degradation of intracellular proteins and affects mitochondrial precursor protein folding and aggregation in vitro.
