Description:
The eBioRDR5 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD127 (Interleukin-7 Receptor alpha). CD127 complexes with CD132 (common gamma chain) to form the IL-7 receptor (IL-7R). It is a type I glycoprotein (75–80 kDa) expressed by immature B cells, thymocytes, and most mature T cells. IL-7 binding activates signal transduction via Jak/STAT pathways, essential for lymphocyte development and T-cell homeostasis.
CD127 expression is down-regulated on CD4+CD25+ regulatory T cells (T regs). Cells with low CD127 expression are enriched for regulatory T cells expressing Foxp3 and showing suppressive activity.
Binding of eBioRDR5 to PBMCs is blocked by recombinant human IL-7 (Product # 14-1079-80).
Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested: Pre-titrated for flow cytometry at 5 µL (0.06 µg) per test (100 µL final volume).
Excitation: 633–647 nm; Emission: 660 nm; Laser: Red Laser.
Filtration: 0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered.
Target Information
CD127 (Interleukin-7, IL-7) is a glycoprotein regulating lymphopoiesis. The IL-7 receptor (IL7R) is a heterodimer of alpha and gamma chains. The gamma(c) chain activates signal transduction, while the alpha chain mediates specific signaling events. CD127 promotes proliferation of precursor B cells, thymocytes, and T cell progenitors. Dysfunctions in CD127 are associated with severe combined immunodeficiency.
