This antibody detects endogenous levels of total MLX protein.
Target Information
The MLX gene encodes a member of the basic helix-loop-helix leucine zipper (bHLH-Zip) transcription factor family. These proteins form heterodimers with Mad proteins and are involved in cell proliferation, determination, and differentiation. MLX may diversify Mad family function through selective association with Mad1 and Mad4 repressors. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
