Target Information
PAX5는 paired box (PAX) 전사인자 패밀리에 속하는 단백질로, 초기 발달 단계에서 중요한 조절자 역할을 합니다. PAX 단백질의 발현 이상은 종양성 변형과 관련이 있을 수 있습니다.
PAX5는 B세포 계통 특이적 활성 단백질(BSAP)로, B세포 분화의 초기 단계에서 발현되며 후기 단계에서는 발현되지 않습니다. 또한 중추신경계(CNS)와 고환에서도 발현되어, 신경 발달과 정자 형성에도 관여할 수 있습니다.
PAX5 유전자의 돌연변이는 백혈병 및 급성 림프모구성 백혈병과 관련이 있습니다.
