Target Information
DEAD box 단백질은 Asp-Glu-Ala-Asp (DEAD) 모티프를 가지는 RNA 헬리케이스 계열 단백질로, RNA 2차 구조 변형과 관련된 다양한 세포 과정에 관여합니다. 이들은 번역 개시, 핵 및 미토콘드리아 스플라이싱, 리보솜 및 스플라이소솜 조립 등에서 중요한 역할을 하며, 일부는 배아발생, 정자형성, 세포 성장 및 분열에 관여한다고 알려져 있습니다.
DDX5 유전자는 RNA 의존성 ATPase를 암호화하며, 세포 증식 관련 핵항원으로서 SV40 종양항원과 특이적으로 반응합니다. 이 유전자는 13개의 엑손으로 구성되어 있으며, 여러 인트론 서열을 포함하는 전사체가 검출되었으나, 이들로부터 생성되는 이소폼은 확인되지 않았습니다.
