This peptide corresponds to 14 amino acids near the carboxy terminus of human DCLK2.
PEP-1024 can be used as a blocking peptide with polyclonal antibody PA5-20910.

Target Information

DCAMKL2 is a serine/threonine kinase involved in signal transduction and cellular communication, and is the human homolog of a rat protein kinase expressed in cerebrocortical lamination that binds microtubules. The microtubule-polymerizing activity of the encoded protein is independent of its protein kinase activity. Mouse studies show that the DCX gene, another family member, and this gene share function in the establishment of hippocampal organization, and their absence results in a severe epileptic phenotype and lethality, as described in human patients with lissencephaly. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants have been identified.
