Product Specific Information
1 µg/mL of MA5-27596 was sufficient for detection of TrpV3 in 10 µg of COS-1 cell lysate transiently transfected with TrpV3 by colorimetric immunoblot analysis using Goat anti-mouse IgG:HRP as the secondary antibody. Detects approximately 70 kDa.
Target Information
TRPV3 is a nonselective cation channel involved in temperature sensation and vasoregulation. It is expressed in subsets of sensory neurons that terminate in the skin and is activated at temperatures between 22°C and 40°C. The TRPV3 gene is located near TRPV1 on chromosome 17, and the two proteins may form heteromeric channels.
