Target Information
The Vasoactive Intestinal Polypeptide Receptor 1 (VPAC1) is a member of a family of three G-protein coupled receptors that mediate VIP (vasoactive intestinal peptide) and PACAP (pituitary adenylate cyclase-activating peptide) function in various tissues. VPAC1 and VPAC2 receptors together form a subtype of the VIP receptor. Expression of these receptors has been associated with the presence of human tumors.
