Target Information
The Vasoactive Intestinal Polypeptide Receptor 2 (VPAC2) is a member of a family of three G-protein coupled receptors that mediate VIP (vasoactive intestinal peptide) and PACAP (pituitary adenylate cyclase activating peptide) functions in various tissues. VPAC1 and VPAC2 receptors together compose a subtype of the VIP receptor. Expression of VIP and PACAP receptors has been linked to the presence of human tumors.
