Target Information
ATG12는 자가포식(autophagy) 단백질 패밀리에 속하며, ATG5와 결합하여 단백질 지질화 과정에서 유비퀴틴-단백질 리가아제(E3) 유사 활성을 보입니다. 이 복합체는 RIG-I 및 VISA(IPS-1)와 같은 선천 면역 단백질과 상호작용하여 type I 인터페론 생성을 억제하고, 바이러스 복제를 허용합니다. 또한 ATG12는 ATG7 존재하에 인간 배아 신장세포에서 ATG10과 상호작용하는 것으로 알려져 있습니다. ATG12에는 최소 두 가지 이소폼이 존재하며, 자가포식 과정은 세포 성장 조절과 영양 보존, 세포질 구성 요소의 정상적인 턴오버에 중요합니다. TOR(rapamycin의 표적 단백질)에 의해 인산화된 APG1을 통해 음성 조절됩니다.
