Antibody detects endogenous levels of EPHA1 only when phosphorylated at Tyr605.
Target Information
EphA1 belongs to the ephrin receptor subfamily of the protein-tyrosine kinase family.
EPH and EPH-related receptors are involved in developmental events, particularly in the nervous system.
Receptors in the EPH subfamily typically have:
- A single kinase domain
- An extracellular region containing a Cys-rich domain and two fibronectin type III repeats
Ephrin receptors are divided into two groups based on extracellular domain sequence similarity and ligand-binding affinity (ephrin-A and ephrin-B).
EphA1 is expressed in some human cancer cell lines and has been implicated in carcinogenesis.
